Who we are and scope
Wajha is a product developed by the Wajha founding team.
This policy applies to the Wajha consumer mobile application and the public Wajha website. You can browse the public catalogue without an account. Authentication is optional and is required only for account-backed features such as visits, redemptions, loyalty and ratings.
Information you provide
- A nickname, age, gender and occupation saved in your local browsing profile.
- Google account identity, including name and email, when you choose Google Sign-In.
- Ratings or feedback you submit.
- Visit, check-in, Access, Last Bite, redemption and loyalty activity associated with an authenticated account.
- Messages you choose to send for support, privacy or deletion requests.
Technical information
Wajha and its infrastructure providers process network requests, basic app or service diagnostics, security evidence and catalogue delivery logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Wajha does not collect contacts, microphone recordings, photos, advertising identifiers or payment data. Wajha does not store precise device location. Any supported device-location processing is used locally on the device and is not retained by Wajha.
How information is used
- Provide catalogue browsing and account authentication.
- Process visits, redemptions, Last Bite claims, loyalty and ratings.
- Synchronize account-backed activity across sessions.
- Secure the service, prevent misuse and investigate operational failures.
- Operate and improve Wajha and respond to support, privacy and deletion requests.
Service providers
Wajha uses Google for optional Google Sign-In, Supabase for authentication and application data, and Cloudflare for hosting, delivery, storage and security. Apple and Google may also process information when distributing the app. These providers process information under their own terms and safeguards to help operate Wajha.
Sharing
Wajha does not sell personal data. Information is shared with service providers only as needed to operate the service, or where disclosure is required for legal, safety or security reasons.
Participating Restaurants receive only the information necessary to validate and operate a visit, redemption, Last Bite claim or loyalty action. Restaurants do not receive your account name or email through the customer validation flow.
Retention
Your local profile remains on the device until you change it, clear app data or remove the app. Account data remains while the account is active. Session, redemption, security and audit records may be retained for operational, fraud-prevention, legal or regulatory needs.
A completed deletion request removes or anonymizes account-associated personal data, subject to information that may legitimately be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal or regulatory reasons. Wajha does not promise that every record is deleted instantly.
Account deletion
Authenticated users can initiate deletion from Profile → Account → Delete account. The current in-app flow prepares an email request that you must send. Your account is not deleted until the request is confirmed and processed.
Deletion covers the account and associated personal data, subject to legitimate retention requirements. Deleting or uninstalling the app is not the same as deleting an account. You can also begin a deletion request from the public Delete Account page.
Children and eligibility
Wajha account features are intended for people aged 13 or older. People below that age should not use account-backed features.
Security
Wajha uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system or transmission method is completely secure.
Your choices and rights
- Browse the public catalogue without an account.
- Edit local personal details or sign out at any time.
- Initiate an account deletion request from Account settings or the public deletion page.
- Contact Wajha about access, correction, privacy or support questions.
International processing
Google, Supabase, Cloudflare and app-distribution providers may process information in countries outside Qatar, subject to their applicable contractual, technical and legal safeguards.
Policy updates
Wajha may update this policy as the service changes. The effective and last-updated dates will be revised, and material changes will be communicated where practical.
